Jacquie Worthy, Doctor of Oriental Medicine (NM) has joined us at Holgistic and is now accepting new patients. Beginning with an initial two hour appointment during which a detailed health history and examination are completed along with an initial acupuncture treatment, she focuses on helping you achieve and maintain optimal health. Jacquie is results oriented, and most importantly, she treats people with caring and compassion.
One of the things that sets Jacquie apart is that she practices 6 distinct acupuncture disciplines including Tan Balance, Tung, Scalp, Auricular, KHT, and TCM. She develops treatment plans
utilizing the discipline(s) best suited to your individual constellation of symptoms taking into consideration both the underlying causes (the root) and current symptoms (branches) of your health concerns. This comprehensive approach to your care may include acupuncture, Chinese medicinal herbs, supplementation, nutrition, and lifestyle recommendations among other things. Jacquie brings over 25 years of education, training, and clinical practice in both Oriental Medicine and Western Medicine to her practice here at Holgistic. Having trained in the United States and China she graduated from the International Institute of Chinese Medicine with a Masters of Science in Oriental Medicine, and a Masters of Education from Wayne State. Jacquie also trained at the university hospital of the world renowned Chengdu University of Traditional Chinese Medicine, China where she completed an internship in acupuncture and Chinese herbology. She is nationally board certified by the National Certification Commission of Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine (NCCAOM) as a Diplomate of Oriental Medicine, Acupuncture, and Chinese Herbology.
