Welcome To The Oldest Continuously Practiced Medicine On The Planet. Oriental Medicine/Acupuncture has stood the test of time and is still around for a very simple reason – it works.  It has continued to grow and develop over the centuries through constant practice and research. The World Health Organization has said that “Oriental Medicine IS the Medicine of the Future”. Jacquie Worthy, Doctor of Oriental Medicine (NM) has joined us at Holgistic and is now accepting new patients. Beginning with an initial two hour appointment during which a detailed health history and examination are completed along with an initial acupuncture treatment, she focuses on helping you achieve and maintain optimal health. Jacquie is results oriented, and most importantly, she treats people with caring and compassion.

One of the things that sets Jacquie apart is that she practices 6 distinct acupuncture disciplines including Tan Balance, Tung, Scalp, Auricular, KHT, and TCM. She develops treatment plans
utilizing the discipline(s) best suited to your individual constellation of symptoms taking into consideration both the underlying causes (the root) and current symptoms (branches) of your health concerns. This comprehensive approach to your care may include acupuncture, Chinese medicinal herbs, supplementation, nutrition, and lifestyle recommendations among other things. Your health is your most important possession.  The state of your health affects your day-to-day life, your physical abilities – what you are able or unable to do. Jacquie has a passion for treating health concerns that affect people’s lives on a very basic, deep level. Chronic pain and many chronic health conditions, can affect your sleep, stress/anxiety/emotions, whether you are experiencing depression, digestive issues, your energy level, and outlook on life. It affects how you feel about yourself, your sense of self worth, your interactions with your family, friends, and co-workers. According to the World Health Organization, “Health is a state of complete physical, mental and social well-being .”  They haven’t changed this definition since their inception in 1948.  That really says something doesn’t it?   The choice for health is ours.  It is each and every one of our responsibilities to be proactive in attaining and maintaining our health.  Jacquie is committed to helping you attain your health goals.
